New York City Pigeon Jersey
For my love of New York City, I painted this pigeon from a photograph I took in the middle of winter. The little guy sat so still for so long that the falling snow formed a tiny hat on his head.
About a year ago, I unexpectedly fell in love with basketball through NBA 2K. It sounds silly, but it's true.
I've found myself drawn to New York, not just for the game, but for the city's energy, beauty, lights, culture, and chaos.
This piece is a celebration of all of it: the towering skyline, the endless motion, the rats, the pigeons, and the character that makes New York unlike anywhere else.
I wanted to share this artwork with y'all.
